In the year 1991-2003 due to the deteriorating economic situation their were two reasons behind it in this period, the first is the siege on Iraq and Kurdistan, and the second one was the siege of regime of (SadamHussin) on Kurdistan, but the most important point was an civil war in Kurdistan between the political parties, which led to the disappointment of Kurds and Especially young generation to think about the flee Kurdistan. After 2003, Saddam Hussein’s regime was ended and leads to two types of emigration. First, return to Kurdistan because of a new era of hope and stability living situation for the people and the second one because of establish the unity of the Kurdistan government. But the unified government did not do everything and did not end the rule of two departments in Kurdistan between two main parties, but the stability of the economic situation led to the return thousands of Kurds from abroad. After that in (2005-2011) because of the agreement between Iraqi government and the European Union, the situation of Iraqi refugees in general and  Kurds been in dangers to deport them to Iraq, especially to Kurdistan region.  In 2014, when Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) attacked most of Iraq, and Kurdistan region as well. This led to the emergence of an unstable political situation and a major financial crisis in the region which led to a large wave of migration to the European Union by the Kurds and Arabs of Iraq who fled the conflict inside Iraq and their aim were to search for a safe haven for themselves because of big threat on their lives and face danger because of illegal immigration by use dangerous roads to cross European countries until they reach the safe countries. Therefore, the Federation provided much assistance to immigrants inside and abroad through its representative without fees
