Summit Foundation:

A number of Iraqi refugees have been released in Turkey and aim to go to European countries through illegal immigration.

With the assistance of Mr. Emad Rasool, Counselor to the Consulate of the Republic of Iraq in Istanbul and the representative Mr. Korda Yashar of the Summit Foundation for Refugees and DisplacedffairsA  in Turkey, nine Kurdish refugees of Kurdish and Arab nationality were released from the Turkish prison at Istanbul International Airport and returned to the provinces of the Republic of Iraq

These refugees, including children and women, are citizens in the governorates of Baghdad, Basra, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. They were held for a week in the airport prison because they were illegally crossing the Turkish border into the European country.
